John Janovy, Jr.
John Janovy Jr. is professor emeritus at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He has published 17 books and nearly 100 scientific papers. Most of the books use nature to explore themes such as interdependency, intellectual freedom, testing one’s limits and learning from the experience, creativity in teaching and the development of careers, but some are fiction, including science fiction. He taught, often to very large audiences, for 45 years and won numerous teaching awards, including the University of Nebraska Distinguished Teaching Award, the Burlington-Northern Teacher-Scholar Award, the University of Nebraska Outstanding Research and Creativity Award and the American Society of Parasitologists Clark P.
