Dr. Jeanette Harder is associate professor of social work at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Her professional specialties include child abuse prevention, program evaluation, child welfare and social work and spirituality. Her most recent book, “Let the Children Come,” addresses the safety of children within faith communities, providing practical suggestions for creating procedures and policies to keep children safe from abuse and to help families break the cycle of abuse. She is president of Dove’s Nest, an organization that empowers and equips faith communities to keep children and youth safe in their homes, churches and communities.
