Gene Zuerlein

Gene Zuerlein is a fisheries biologist with the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission. As a long time commission employee, Gene has experience working on the Missouri River and represents the commission on Missouri River issues and opportunities, such as restoration of fish and wildlife habitat through the mitigation project, as well as different recovery aspects of the Missouri River Recovery Program. On Nov. 24, 2008, Gov. Heineman appointed him to be the Nebraska Cooperating Agency point of contact for helping the Army Corps of Engineers and Fish and Wildlife Service develop the Missouri River Ecosystem Restoration Plan, an effort to improve the ecological health of the river and make it more sustainable for future generations.
