Curt Freese

Curt Freese, an independent researcher and writer based in Bozeman, Mont., has worked on interdisciplinary solutions to conservation and land-use issues in the Great Plains and around world. He grew up on a farm in Iowa, received a bachelor’s degree from Iowa State University and Ph.D. from Johns Hopkins University, and from 2002–2008 was managing director of the World Wildlife Fund’s Northern Great Plains Program.
