Andrew C. (Skip) Hove Jr. is a graduate of the University of Nebraska and the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin. He served as either vice chairman or acting chairman at the FDIC from 1990 to his retirement in 2001. Hove is currently a director of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Topeka, Kan., the Great Western Bank of Sioux Falls, S.D., the Sovereign Bancorp, Inc. of Philadelphia, Penn., and the Sovereign Bank of Reading, Penn.
